Hii...☺

Here is your answer......☺

=================================

➡ By substitution method :

2x - y = 1 -----------(1)

x + 2y = 13 --------------(2)

From (1) we have,

2x - 1 = y -----------(3)

Now, putting value of y in equation (2) we get:

=> x + 2y = 13

=> x + 2 ( 2x - 1) = 13

=> x + 4x - 2 = 13

=> 5x = 13 +2

=> 5x = 15
=> x = 15/5
=> x = 3

From (3) we have,

2x - 1 = y

=> 2 × 3 - 1 = y
=> 6 - 1 = y

=> y = 5

==================================

Thanks....☺

in substitution method
2x -y =1
y=2x-1......(3)
2x - y = 1......(1)
x + 2y = 13.....(2)
putting y=2x+1 in (2)
x + 2(2x -1) = 13
x + 4x - 2 = 13
5x = 15
x = 15\div 5=3
[tex]y = 2x-1
[tex]y = 2×3-1
[tex]y = 5
