Hello!!

Here is your answer!

_____________________

2x - y = 5 ( 1 )

3x + 2y = 11 ( 2)

From ( 1 )

y = 2x - 5 ( 3 )

Substituting the value in ( 2 )

3x + 2 ( 2x - 5 ) = 11

3x + 4x - 10 = 11

7x = 21

x = 3

Hence the value of y ( Substitute in ( 3 ) )

y = 6 - 5 = 1

Hope it helps

Solution :

Given simultaneous equations

are ,

2x - y = 5

=> 2x - 5 = y

y = 2x - 5 -----( 1 )

3x + 2y = 11 ----( 2 )

Substitute y = 2x - 5 in equation

( 2 ) , we get

3x + 2(2x- 5 ) = 11

=> 3x + 4x - 10 = 11

=> 7x = 11 + 10

=> 7x = 21

=> x = 21/7

x = 3

Substitute x = 3 in equation ( 1 ),

We get ,

y = 2×3 - 5

=> y = 6 - 5 = 1

Therefore ,

x = 3 , y = 1
