Correct answer

2x+y=8 ----->1

x-y=1 --------->2

Multiply equation 2 with 2

=>2(x-y=1)

=>2x-2y=2 ----->3

Subtracting e.q 1 and 3

=> 2x+y=8

-2x-2y=-1

Ans => y=7

Put value of y in e.q 2

=> x-7=1

=>x=1+7

=>x=8

Hence. x = 8. and. y = 7
