From ( i ) and ( ii ) we have

3 x = 9

x = 3

Now put x = 3 in ( ii )

y = x - 1

y = 3 - 1

y = 2

Now we get x = 3  and  y = 2.

We can see on graph there is intersection point on ( 3 , 2 ).
