2x² + x - 6 = 0

\text{By middle splitting theorem}

LCM of 12 ;i.e

4 × 3 × 1 = 12;

Factors ==> 4 - 3 = 1 ,so.

2x² + ( 4 - 3)x - 6 = 0

==> 2x² + 4x - 3x - 6 = 0

==> 2x(x + 2) - 3(x + 2) = 0

[Taking the common ,we get]

==>(x + 2)(2x -3).

Hence, the value of x is.

=> x = -2

=>x = \dfrac{3}{2}
