2years ago a father was 6 time as old as his son .after18 years he will become doubled the age of his son find the age of the father

Let the age of the son be x

After 18 years,
Age of the son=x+18
Age of the father=2 (x+18)
=2x+36
A/Q
6x=2x+36
=>6x-2x=36
=>4x=36
=>x=36/4
=>x=9
Age of the son=x+18
=9+18
=27 yrs

=2×9+36
=18+36
=54 yrs
