How I like to solve these type of questions is to simplify them at first, and then try to find a way to group the numbers together.

 (3^3 – 2^3) – (5)^3

= (27 - 8)- 125 (If the base numbers are the same, them you can subtract and multiply)

= 19-125

= -106
