(3√3-4)^2
= by (a-b) ^2= a^2 + b^2 + 2ab
= (3√3)^2 + 4^2 - 2(3√3)4
= 27+16-8√3
= 43-8(1.732)..............(√3=1.732)
= 43-13.856
= 29.144
= by (a-b) ^2= a^2 + b^2 + 2ab
= (3√3)^2 + 4^2 - 2(3√3)4
= 27+16-8√3
= 43-8(1.732)..............(√3=1.732)
= 43-13.856
= 29.144

Hi,
_________________
we know the identity,
( x - y ) ² = x² - 2xy + y²
__________________
( 3√3 - 4 )² = ( 3√3 )² - 2×3√3×4 + 4²
= 27 - 24√3 + 16
[ since (3√3 )² = 3√3 × 3√3 = 9 × 3 = 27 ]
= 43 - 24√3
I hope this helps you.
:)
