Answer:

Given:3/5 of the balls in a box are red. The rest are green and yellow. The ratio

of the number of greenho

to the number of yellow balls is 5:3. If there are 10 less yellow balls than

green balls

Tofind: how many balls are there?

Solution:

3/5 of the balls are red means 2/5 are green & yellow

green: yellow = 5:3

let numbers of green ball be 5x and

yellow ball be 3x

according to question

5x - 3x = 10

=>2x = 10

=> x = 5

therefore total number of green ball is

25 and yellow ball is 15.

so 2/5 unit -> 40

so 3/5 unit ---> 60 so there is total 100 balls red =60 green

= 25 & yellow =15

Answer: hence there are 100 numbers
