Now , firstly making Variable terms together and constant term together.

Note: when we shift 3x to left side it's sign gets changed to -ve . Similarly, 9 will be substracted from 5 on the other side.

=>5x-3x=5-9

=>2x=-4

=>x= -4 ÷ 2

=>x= -2

check

=>5x+9=5+3x

=>5(-2)+9=5+3(-2)

=>-10+9=5-6

6.8x+4=3(x-1)+7

expanding the terms and removing the brackets:

=>8x+4=3x-3+7
