E = 56

◆ Explanation -

First of all we have to calculate normality of HCl.

Normality = molarity × basicity

Normality = 0.5 × 1

Normality = 0.5 N

Now equivalent weight of the metal can be calculated by formula -

Normality = (W/V) / E

0.5 = (3.64/0.13) / E

E = (3.64/0.13) / 0.5

E = 56

Therefore, equivalent weight of the metal is 56.
