Heya, _____________________________

Distributive property :- a( b + c ) = ac + ab

3/7 ( 5/6 + 12/13 ) = ( 3/7 × 5/6 ) + ( 3/7 × 12/13 )

3/7 ( 65 + 72 )/ 78 = 15/42 + 36/91

3/7 × 137/78 = ( 195 + 216 )/546

411/546 = 411/546

Hope it helps☺!

Concept:

We will need the concept of distributive property of multiplication over addition to verify the given question.

The distributive property states that if a,b and c are numbers from the number system then:   a x (b+c)=a x b +a x c

And we will need the BODMAS(Braces Of Division Multiplication Addition Subtraction) rule from mathematics

Given:

We are given the equation with three numbers 3/7,5/6 and 12/13

To find:

We are asked to verify the distributive property of 3/7, 5/6 and 12/13

Solution:

We take the left-hand side and right-hand side and simplify them separately using the BODMAS rule.

L.H.S= 3/7x(5/6+12/13)

         =3/7x((65+72)/78)  (Taking L.C.M of denominators)

         =3/7x(137/78)

         =3/7x137/78

L.H.S=137/182

R.H.S=(3/7 x 5/6)+(3/7 x 12/13)

        =(35/42) + (36/91)

        =(195+216)/546

         =411/546

R.H.S =137/182

Therefore, LHS=RHS

Hence, verified
