 - 3 = 7(y - 9 \div 7) \\  - 3 =7 (y -  \frac{9}{7}) \\  - 3 = 7y - \frac{63}{7 } \\  - 3 = 7y - 9 \\  - 7y =  - 9 + 3 \\  - 7y =  - 6 \\ y =  \frac{ - 6}{ - 7} \\ y =  \frac{6}{7}
