Factorising:

Since both factors are the same, then we can put them as one using the square

(3 - a)(3 - a) = (3 - a)²

Expanding:

(3 - a)(3 - a) = 3(3- a) - a(3-a)

(3 - a)(3 - a) = 3(3) - 3a - 3a + a(a)

(3 - a)(3 - a) = 9 - 3a - 3a + a²

(3 - a)(3 - a) = 9 - 6a + a²

Philipzx: I thinks its 3×3 = 9 (not 9²)
TooFree: yes :) correct :)
