Answer:

Cost of cementing the floor and walls is Rs 4320.

Step-by-step explanation:

For the cost of cementing the force :

  • Length of floor = 15 m
  • Breadth of floor = 12 m

From the properties of rectangular figures :

  • Area of rectangle = length x breadth *of that rectangle

Here,

= > Area of floor = Area to be cemented = 15 m x 12 m

= > Area to be cemented = 180 m^2

Here,

= > Area of all walls = Area to two walls with length 15 m + Area of two walls with length( breadth acc. question ) 12 m )

= > Area of walls = 2 ( 15 m x 2 m ) + 2( 12 m x 2 m )

= > Area of walls = 2( 30 m^2 + 24 m^2 )

= > Area of walls = 108 m^2

Thus,

= > Cost of cementing the floor and walls = Area to be cemented x Rate of cementing

= > Cost of cementing the floor and walls = ( Area of floor + Area of walls ) x Rate of cementing

= > Cost of cementing the floor and walls = ( 180 m^2 + 108 m^2 ) x Rs 15 / m^2 { Rate of cementing = Rs 15 / m^2 }

= > Cost of cementing = Rs 4320

Hence, cost of cementing the floor and walls is Rs 4320.
