Circles, and Squares are always Similar.
- When are two objects said to be similar?
- Two objects are similar if they are of the same shape
- Ratio of corresponding sides is equal.
- One of the object should be formed when the other is diminished or enlarged.
- Corresponding Internal angles must be equal.
Circles
- Circles are defined by their radii.
- Since, There is only one defining element for circle.
- All circles are similar.
- Any circle can be obtained by enlarging or diminishing a given circle.
Squares
- Squares have four sides and all the angles are 90°.
- For any square, since the angles are 90°, They all have a same shape.
- Any square can be obtained by enlarging or diminishing a given square.
Triangles :
- There are 3 angles and 3 sides. Since the angles can have different values.
- There can be different triangles with different shapes.
- Hence, All triangles are not similar.
