Answer:

These lines allow you to quickly and accurately locate places and features on the earth's surface. Latitude and longitude also play an important role in determining times and dates." Latitude: Lines of latitude are imaginary lines that run in an east-west (side-to-side) direction around the earth.

Hii friend, International Date Line is important for knowing the days as we cross the International Date Line (IDL) from the east to the west, a day is subtracted. For example, if it is Sunday in New Delhi, it will be Saturday in New York. But if we cross the IDL from the west to the east, a day gets added.

The Earth rotates 360° in about 24 hours; this implies that it covers 15° in one hour or 1° in every four minutes. Thus, when it will be noon at Greenwich, the time at 15° east of Greenwich will be 60 minutes, i.e. 15 × 4 = 60 minutes.

Earth rotates around its own axis which is tilted at 23.5 degrees, from the plane of its orbit around the sun, in the eastward direction. ... This would happen because everything will still be rotating due to inertia towards the east, while the ground suddenly moves towards the west
