3. Answer the following questions in about 120 words.

(i) Explain the land use pattern in India and why has the land under forest not increased much since 1960-61?

(ii) How has technical and economic development led to more consumption of resources?

  1. In india land is use as agricultural land,grazing land,forest land and waste land ( these land are barren not fertile; and not used for any agricultural type of activity).It has been seen that land is mainly used for agricultural because agricultural is the source of GDP for India.

The land for forest has not increased much since 1960-61 because it has seen that the rate of population growth is increasing which leads to more use of land and it leads deforestation at all .So to conserve the forest as well as animal the forest land not increased.

2.For technical and economical development we need raw materials in a fixed amount.The consumption rate of resources are less but with the passage of time popullation goes on increasing which also increase the demad of people in all sectors which leads to the consumption of natural resources.And somewhere we waste it which also increase the rate of it......
