Answer:

Vallabhacharya was the most distinguished preacher of the Krishna cult. He hailed from Andhradesa and lived from 1479 to 1531 AD. From his early boyhood he showed signs of genius and distinguished himself as a great scholar. He undertook pilgrimages to Mathura, Brindavan, and other sacred places and finally settled in Banaras. He is said to have visited the court of Krishnadevaraya where he defeated some Saiva scholars in debate..Vallabhacharya of South India and Mira Bai of Rajasthan were some other prominent exponents of the Bhakti cult in the medieval period. All these Bhakti reformers preached the principles of brotherhood of all men and emphasized the equality of all religions.

As a result of their teachings much of the antagonism between Hindus and Muslims was removed. Muslim rulers also realized the importance of peaceful co-existence and some of them treated their Muslim and Hindu subjects alike. It made some rulers like Akbar very liberal in their treatment of the Hindus.
