1. Draw a line segment OA=8 cm.

2.O as centre and radius 4 cm draw a circle.

3. Taking OA as diameter draw another circle which intersects the given circle at B and C.

4. Join A to B and A to C.

Result:AB and AC are required tangents.

∴AB=AC=5.9 cm.

Make all them half and take a line segments of them for exmpl: if we take 8cm, then the half is 4 now draw the line segment of 4cm. Now take a compass and draw the circle by placing on the edge of the line segment. Now you'll get the circle , extend the line segment to 8 then it will become diameter
