l = 12 cm

then the surface area of resulting cuboid:
2 (lb +bh + lh)
= 2 (12×4 + 4×4 + 12×4 )
=2 (48+16+48)
=2 × 112 = 224 cm^2

breadth, b=4cm

and height, h=4cm
surface area of cuboid =2(lb+bh+lh)
=2(12x4+4x4+12x4)
=2(48+16+48)
