Hey there!

Answer:

Optical fibre works on the principle of total internal reflection. when a light falla on the interface seperating the fibre and coating at angle greater than the critical angle, multiple total internal reflection take place.

Optical fibre is expensive but its is very beneficial because there is no loss of energy.

In copper wires there is loss of energy because copper has its own resistance.
