Fundamental quantities are those which are the most basic quantities in nature and cannot be derived. Example: Length, Mass, Time etc. You cannot derive them from other quantities.

 

Derived quantities are those which can be derived from the fundamental quantities. Example: Seed is a derived quantity. It can be derived from fundamental quantities length and time
