3 differences between peat, lignite, bituminous and anthracite coal.

Anthracite is the best quality coal having carbon content up to 80. Percent , it has high heating capacity and holds very less moisture Lignite Is a bad quality coal having carbon content below 60 percent , it has low heating capacity and holds 40 percent moisture Peat is the poorest quality coal having carbon content below 40 percent it has very low heating capacity and holds 90 percent moisture.

Peat have the high proportion of water and less than 60 % of carbon

Lignite have 60-70 % of carbon

Bituminous have 70 - 90% of carbon

Anthracite have 95 % of the carbon.
