Step 1: Draw a line segment XY = 7.3 cm
Step 2: From point X, draw a line segment at any angle.
Step 3: Now, take a compass and keep the needle in point X, and set its width slightly less than one-fifth of the XY length and mark five arcs of equal length.
Step 4: Label the last arc P.
Step 5: Take a compass and hold the needle with point P and take the width of the PY, draw an arc just below it.
Step 6: Now, set the XP width of the compass, draw an arc from Y and divide the arc drawn in stage 5. This point of contact is D. Join D to Y
Step 7: Using the same compass width as used in step 3 XC, press the compass from D near DY and make 5 arcs across the line.
