All the big temples and shrines in the country have accumulated billions in cash and gold donated by the worshippers. It is not being used for any benefit for the general public that has donated it. The government must take over these enormous funds and use them for the welfare of the general public in the prevailing economic crisis. The best would be for the managements and trustees of these shrines to voluntarily surrender the funds immediately to the government.
