Answer

acid and base reacts with each other to form neutralized salt and some gasses like carbon dioxide

to test this we can place some amount of baking soda in a balloon and the place this on the moth of a bottle / test tube  containing vinegar  and the observe that when baking soda and vinegar reacts with each other the balloon gets filled with air and thus it conclude that they both react to produce salt and gasses like carbon dioxide .
