The light bulb isn't lighting up in the circuit pictured below.​

  • The reason is that:
  • As it can be seen in the picture, that, only one terminal of the bulb is connected to the battery or the power source.
  • In order to light up the bulb, both ends/terminals of the bulb should be connected to +ve and -ve of the battery.
  • The positive terminal of the bulb should be connected to the positive terminal of the battery/ source, and same for the negative terminal.
