1. Example of collective noun such as "flock, team, crowd" are followed by singular verb.
2. Nouns such as news, economics and cards are plural but they are treated as singular.
3. If the noun is in plural form and shows amount, then it is followed by singular verb.
4. Words like "Everyone, somebody, nobody, anybody" will be also followed by singular verb.
5. Nouns like "spectacles, glasses, shoes, people" are always considered as plural form.
6. If the subject is plural then the verb will be in plural form.
7. If the subject is singular then the verb will be in singular form.
