3. Find the area of a rhombus whose side is 14 cm and whose altitude is 10 cm. If one of its diagonals is 7 cm long, find the length of the other diagonal.

Base = Side and Height= Altitude

Area = 14 x 10

        = 140 cm²

Area of Rhombus is also equal to pq/2 where p and q are the 2 diagonals of the Rhombus. We know 1 diagonal, let the other diagonal be x

7 × x/2 = 140 cm²

3.5x = 140 cm²

x = 40 cm

Length of the other diagonal = 40 cm
