let R1=5 om

R2 = 15om

R3 = 2.25 om

5om and 15 om are in parallel order

so let resistance = R4

 \frac{1}{r4}  =   \frac{1}{r1}  +  \frac{1}{r2}  \\  \frac{1}{r4}  =  \frac{1}{5}  +  \frac{1}{15}  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{3 + 1}{15}  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{4}{15}  \\  \frac{1}{r4}  =  \frac{4}{15}  \\ r4 =  \frac{15}{4}

resistance R3 and R4 in line order

so let total resistance = R5

r5 = r3 + r4 \\  \:  \:   \:  \:   \:  = 2.25 +  \frac{15}{4}  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{5 + 15}{4}  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{20}{4}  \\ r5 = 5

so total resistance in circuit = 5 om
