3. Find the value of (x + y), if
(i) 3x + 4y = 11; 4x + 3y = 10
(ii) 2x + 3y = 15; 3x + 2y = 10
(iii) 5x – 2y = 10; X + 8y = 26.​

X + 8y =26

5x - 2y = 10

5(X + 8y = 26)

= 5x - 2y = 10. Eq. 1

5x + 40y = 150. Eq. 2

The sign of Eq. Will change

5x - 2y = 10

- 5x -40y = - 150

= - 42y = - 140

Y = 140/42

Y = 10/3

Put the value of y is in Eq. 1

5x - 2(10/3) =10

5x = 50/3

X = 10/3
