ANSWER...

  • YOU CAN USE QUADRATIC FORMULA FOR THIS QUESTION

I WILL PROVIDE YOU TWO DIFFERENT METHOD FOR THIS QUESTION FIRST BY FACTORISATION AND OTHER BY QUADRATIC FORMULA...

1. FACTORISATION METHOD

 {x}^{2}  - 3x - m(m + 3) = 0 \\  \\  {x}^{2}   +  (m)x - (m + 3)x - m(m + 3) = 0 \\  \\ x(x  + m) - (m + 3)(x + m) = 0 \\  \\ (x + m)(x - (m + 3)) = 0 \\  \\ first \: value \: of \: x =  - m \\  \\ second \: value \: of \: x = m + 3

2. QUADRATIC FORMULA

a = 1 \\ b =  - 3 \\ c =  - m(m + 3) \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - b +  \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - ( - 3) +  \sqrt{ { - 3}^{2}  - 4(1)( - m(m + 3))} }{2(1)}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{3 +  \sqrt{ 9 + 4 {m}^{2}  + 12m } }{2}  \\ x =  \frac{3 +  \sqrt{ {(2m + 3)}^{2} } }{2}  \\ solution \: of \: x \\  \\ x =  \frac{3 - (2m + 3)}{2}  =  \frac{ - 2m}{2}  =  - m \\  \\ solution \: of \: x \:  \frac{3 + 2m + 3}{2}  =  \frac{2m + 6}{2}  ={m + 3}
