C6H12O6 —> C3H6O3 +2CO2+ 2ATP. This is anaerobic respiration.

ii. The process represented by the reactions are, a. Aerobic respiration, b. Anaerobic respiration.

Anaerobic respiration: It is carried out in the absence of oxygen. It occurs in the cytoplasm of the cell. The end products may vary. They can be CO2 or lactic acid or ethanol.

Aerobic respiration: It is carried out in the presence of oxygen. It occurs in the mitochondria of cell. The end products are

CO2 and H2O.
