Answer:It was a very cold night and Halku warmed himself by lighting fire by collecting dry leaves from the fields. Halku and his dog slept silently. Halku could not save his field from the cattle because while cattle entered his field, he was sleeping and didn't wanted to get disturbed by anyone.
