  • Next we have changed "said to" as "told".
  • Then we have inserted the conjunction "that" before the direct statement.
  • Next we have removed "I" and inserted "he" instead of it. Because we all know that the pronouns of first and second person changes to third person in indirect speech.
  • Then we have made an important change, that is changing the tense. It is given in past simple tense in the question. And as per the rule, we have changed it to past perfect tense.
  • Finally we ended the sentence with a full stop.
