I would describe Mrs.Pumphrey as Overdoing.

Because she fed Tricki with everything with her love. But due to that Tricki became more fat like a bloated sausage. Mrs.Pumphrey thought that Tricki became more ill n weak and started feeding Tricki more n more.Which is overdoing.

Mrs Pumphrey was a rich woman who doted on her dog Tricki. She pampered him silly and overfeeds him. ... She was foolishly indulgent and would pamper the dog by giving him chocolates, cakes, juice, eggs and wine. She was ignorant and did not know that the dog needed exercise also.
