(i) g(x) = 0

x - 1= 0

x = 1

p(x) = x^3 - ax^2 + 14x + b

p(1) = 1 - a + 14 + b

-a + b = -15

(ii) g(x) = 0

x - 2 = 0

x = 2

p(x) = x^3 - ax^2 + 14x + b

p(2) = 8 - 4a + 28 + b

-4a + b = -36

-a + b = -15

- (-4a +b = -36)

[-a + b = -15

4a - b = 36]

3a = 21

a = 7

-a + b = -15

-7 + b = -15

b = -8

hence the value of a = 7 and b = -8

Plzzz mark this as a brainliest...............

Dalveersingh: The value of a=7 and b= - 8
anshuman1492: go and check it............i had just corrected it
