  • x \:  \:  \: is \: in \: meters
  • t \:  \:  \: is \: in \: seconds

We know that;

Units on LHS will be equal to units on RHS.

 \implies a \:   \:  \: \:  is \:  in \: m(meters)

 \implies b \:  \:  \:  \: is \: in \: m {s}^{ - 1} (meters\:per\:second)

Verification,

m(meter) = m +   {ms}^{ - 1}  \times s

m = m +  \frac{m}{s}  \times s

m = m + m

Therefore units are equal on both RHS and LHS.
