We know that;

Units on LHS will be equal to units on RHS.

$\implies a \: \: \: \: is \: in \: m(meters)$

$\implies b \: \: \: \: is \: in \: m {s}^{ - 1} (meters\:per\:second)$

Verification,

$m(meter) = m + {ms}^{ - 1} \times s$

$m = m + \frac{m}{s} \times s$

$m = m + m$

Therefore units are equal on both RHS and LHS.
