Answer :

5m (5m -1)

Solution:

(2m + 3m) (5m -1)

Long method:

= 2m (5m - 1) + 3m (5m -1)

= 10m² - 2m + 15m² - 3m

= 10m² + 15m² - 2m - 3m

= 25m² - 5m

= 5m ( 5m - 1)

Short method :

(2m + 3m) (5m -1)

= 5m (5m -1)

More information:

Algebra is an expression containing various terms made up of both constant like whole numbers and variables like x , y , z , etc .

In algebra , the terms having the same variables are added algebraically i.e. 2m and 3m have same term constant × m , so these are added to give 5m .
