To find the maximum capacity of a bag so that wheat can be packed in exact no. of bags, we will have to find the Highest Common Factor (H.C.F.) of the given weights of wheat i.e., 490 kg, 586 kg & 882 kg.

We will use the prime factorisation method to find the H.C.F. of 490, 586 & 882, so

Factors:

490 = 2 × 5 × 7 × 7

586 = 2 × 293

882 = 2 × 3 × 3 × 7 × 7

H.C.F:

∴ H.C.F of 490, 586 & 882 = 2

Thus, the maximum capacity of a bag so that the wheat can be packed in an exact number of bags is → 2 kg.
