b) 5/12

a) He saved 1/4.

So, remaining = 3/4

Kuldeep spending on suitcase = 3/4 × 4/9

= 1/3

Also,

b) Money left = total money - ( saving + spending on suitcase )

=> 1 - (1/4+1/3)

=> 1-(4+3/12)

=> 1-7/12

=> 5/12.
