Answer:

(a)

Wind is the movement of air, caused by the uneven heating of the Earth by the sun and the Earth's own rotation.

Anemometers measure wind speed and wind vanes measure wind direction. A typical wind vane has a pointer in front and fins in back. When the wind is blowing, the wind vane points into the wind. A cup anemometer is a common tool to measure wind speed.

Land breeze: blowing breeze from land towards the sea is called a land breeze.

Sea breeze: blowing breeze from sea towards land during the day is called sea breeze.

(ii)

The air around you has weight, and it presses against everything it touches. That pressure is called atmospheric pressure, or air pressure.

It is the force exerted on a surface by the air above it as gravity pulls it to Earth.

Atmospheric pressure is commonly measured with a barometer. In a barometer, a column of mercury in a glass tube rises or falls as the weight of the atmosphere changes.
