Concept:

Here we will use the concept of time and work

i.e. Rate of work = 1 / Time taken or vice versa.

Given:

According to the question 3 men and 2 women can do work in 15 days

and 2 men and 3 women can do the same work in 18 days.

Find:

The number of days taken by 1 woman and 1 man to do the same work.

Solution:

Let the work done by a man be x and the work done by a woman is y.

Therefore according to the question, Rate of work => 3x+2y= 1/15--------(1)

                                                                                  => 2x+3y=1/18---------(2)

Now by solving equation (1) and (2) , we get x= 1/90 and y= 1/60.

and as we know that Time taken= 1/ Rate of work

Time taken by x= 90 days and time taken by y= 60 days.

Hence, the number of days taken by 1 woman and 1 man to do the same work is 90 days and 60 days.
