∴ 5 men + 4 women = 5 men + 3 men = 8 men

Let's find out in how many days 8 men can do the job.

3 men can do it in 8 days.

1 man can do it in 8/3 days, i. e., 2 days and 16 hours.

8 men can do it in,

8 × 8/3

= 64/3

= 21 and 1/3 days

= 21 days and 8 hours

∴ 5 men and 4 women can do the job in 21 days and 8 hours.

Therefore, 1 man do the job in (3*8)=24 days

Therefore , 7 men do the job in (24/7)days [4 women = 3 men]

                                                      =3.428

                                                     =3.43 days or 3 whole of 3 by 7 days
