The five major events about India’s freedom struggle are as follows:
Jallianwala Bagh massacre: On April 13, 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre was taken place (on Baisakhi day) in Jallianwala Bagh near the Golden Temple which is at Amritsar, Punjab province of India. There was a meeting to protest against the Rowlett Act, in which an English officer named General Dyer did not cause firing in crowds present in the gathering in which more than 2000 injured and more than 400 people were killed.
Non-cooperation movement: The most prominent reason behind introducing Gandhi's Non-Cooperation Movement was the unclear policies of the English government. Under this movement Gandhiji told Indian people to boycott of schools, colleges and government courts, foreign goods and etc to pressurize British Government.
Dandi March: Dandi March which is also known as Salt March, Dandi Satyagraha, was started on March 12, 1930 under the leadership of Gandhiji. Gandhiji did this march to break the law against British government who labeled tax on salt, a basic need of every Indian household.
Satyagraha Movement: Gandhi started Satyagraha movement against the passage of discrimination law by the government of colonial against the people of Asia in Transvaal of South Africa for the 1st time in 1906.
Rowlatt Act: The law was made in March 1919 (“The Anarchical and Revolutionary Crime Act” at 1919) aimed at crushing the national movement emerging in India by the British government of India. This law was made by “Sir Sydney Rowlett” based on recommendations of the head of Selection Committee.
