Step-by-step explanation:

Okay, so P, Q and R pay the fund.

So the sum of their share/fraction they're paying must sum up to one or 100%.

P pays 3/5 th of total.... ie 60%

the leftover.. 100-60=40% is paid by Q and R together.

Now Q pays 2/3 rd of the remainder. Thus Q pays 2/3 * 40 = 26.67%

Now R pays all that's left. So R pays... 40-26.67 = 13.33%

Also, we know that R pays 8 pounds.

So 13.33 % of the entire amount is equal to 8.

So, the Total amount, ie 100% is equal to (100/13.33)*8 which is 60 Pounds

Thus P pays 60% of 60 which is 36 pounds

Q pays 26.67% of 60 which is 16 pounds.

PS : Just to verify, R pays 60-36-16 = 8 pounds
