Answer:

1. Lunar Eclipse:

The Incas believed the lunar eclipse to be something supernatural and horrible. They thought a huge jaguar would bite off the moon, thus it turns blood-reddish.

The scientific explanation to this is very simple. It appears when the sun, moon and earth are aligned into a parallel line and thus the moon slips into earth's shadow.

2. Mental illness:

In ancient Mesopotamia, psychological disorders were believed to be controlled by certain gods who would magically control a person's mind with their "hands", thus making them appear lunatic.

Mental illness is scientifically proven to be caused by various reasons. It can be genetic or a result of trauma. It can be accidental too.

3. Volcanoes:

Volcanoes were believed to be the act of God's wrath or violence, according to the ancient Greeks. They thought it somehow supernatural.

The scientific and geographical explanation of volcanoes say that it is when the hot magma, rocks and many other things burst out of earth's crust and explode. It is nothing magical at all.
