Flora: Deciduous and coniferous tress are seen in abundance in the plains of Ganga Brahmaputra. Trees such as bamboo, sacred fig (peepal) , sakhua , teak, pine, fir, deodar cedar, etc. are grown. Fauna: Forest life includes animals like elephants, rhinoceros, deer, monkeys, tigers.
