3 precaution of rancidity are:-
1.Store the food in a colored glass container to prevent oxidation of fats by rays of light.
2.Use vitamin C, B carotene and vitamin E to protect against rancidity.
3.Add synthetic antioxidants like butylated hydroxy anisole (BHA), butylated hydroxy toluene (BHT) and propylgallate for prevention of rancidity.

it can be prevented by using a chemical BHT[butylated hydroxy touline] and BHA[butylated hydroxy anisole ,one can keep in air tight containers
